About The Position

Meals Now is seeking an independent-contractor delivery partner for catering orders in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Meals Now describes itself as a white-glove catering delivery company trusted by national brands. Drivers represent both Meals Now and its restaurant partners, delivering and setting up catering orders with professionalism and care. The work is focused exclusively on catering delivery, not fast food, grocery delivery, or gig stacking. Drivers pick up large catering orders from restaurant partners and deliver and set up food at locations such as offices, hospitals, schools, and event venues. The role includes following delivery instructions, taking clean setup photos at drop-off, and being available for weekday morning and lunch shifts. The stated business hours are 7:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Sunday, with the market mostly busy Tuesday through Friday.

Requirements

Have a reliable car, van, or SUV; bikes are not suitable for most markets.
Have a catering bag and cart, or be willing to purchase them.
Have a valid driver's license and insurance.
Have a smartphone with internet/data access.
Be available for weekday morning and lunch shifts, stated as 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Maintain a professional appearance; gym clothes, hoodies, and slides are not acceptable.
Be comfortable with setup and light lifting.
Be dependable and communicative, and take pride in the work.

Responsibilities
