About The Position

Culinaire is hiring full-time and part-time Catering Captains for FGF Catering in Dallas, Texas. The operation runs Monday through Sunday, and hours may vary; further schedule details will be provided during the interview. The role coordinates catering staff schedules and helps ensure catered functions are delivered, served, and cleared in a timely manner. Under the supervision of the Catering Director, the Catering Captain prepares and serves food and may drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to events.

Requirements

Three years of prior high-end service and catering experience.
A valid driver's license may be required.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Determine workload requirements based on catering orders.
Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements, address last-minute changes, and resolve problems.
Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items.
Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions.
Help staff set up rooms to specified requirements.
Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations.
Serve food and beverages to guests.
Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
Ensure food is prepared according to approved recipes and production standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
