CATERING ATTENDANT (ON CALL)
About The Position
The Catering Attendant delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and ensures events are accurately executed during their shift. The role may include driving a catering delivery truck. Duties include setting up and serving at functions, cleaning the event area during and after events, breaking down setups, and returning leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner. The position is on call at Morgan Westchester Cafe in Purchase, New York. Days and hours may vary. Previous fine dining experience is required. The fixed pay rate is $25.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous fine dining experience is required.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
- Log and maintain food temperatures.
- Arrange tables and decorations.
- Arrange buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests.
- Thoroughly clean the location after events.
- Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
- Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
- Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
- Provide friendly and courteous service to guests.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
