CATERING ATTENDANT (ON CALL)
About The Position
Culinaire is hiring an on-call Catering Attendant at Miami Lakes Hotel in Miami Lakes, Florida. The role delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and helps ensure events are executed accurately. Duties may include driving a catering delivery truck. The attendant sets up and serves at functions, cleans the event area during and after events, breaks down setups, and returns leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner. Culinaire provides upscale food and beverage management services for national accounts including art museums, cultural landmarks, hotels, performing theaters, restaurants, and special event venues. Requirements
- Previous banquet server experience is required.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
- Log and maintain food temperatures.
- Arrange tables and decorations.
- Arrange buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests.
- Clean the location thoroughly after each event.
- Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
- Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
- Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
- Provide guests with friendly, courteous service.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
