About The Position
The Catering Attendant delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and helps ensure each event is executed accurately during the shift. The role may include driving a catering delivery truck. Duties include setting up and serving at functions, cleaning the event area during and after events, breaking down setups, and returning leftover food and equipment promptly to the catering facility.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
- Log and maintain food temperatures.
- Arrange tables and decorations.
- Set buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests.
- Thoroughly clean the location after an event.
- Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
- Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
- Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
- Provide guests with friendly, courteous service.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
