About The Position

Baptist Health Lexington’s Food & Nutrition Services Department supports patients, staff, and visitors by preparing and serving nutritious meals while following dietary requirements, food-safety, and sanitation standards. The department handles food preparation, tray assembly and delivery, cafeteria and catering services, cleaning, and equipment maintenance. Staff work closely with patients and healthcare teams to ensure meals are accurate, timely, and appropriate for individual dietary needs. The Catering Attendant provides efficient catering support by setting up event spaces, serving guests, maintaining cleanliness, and completing event cleanup and breakdown. The role ensures food, supplies, and equipment are properly returned while responding promptly and professionally to staffing and customer needs. This is a full-time, first-shift food service position. No experience is required; training is provided.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support catering events, including scheduling, setup, food preparation, delivery, and guest service.
Maintain food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and organization standards.
Set up and break down event spaces, buffets, equipment, and supplies.
Process catering billing and assist with cashier duties as needed.
Provide professional, courteous service to guests, customers, and team members.
Maintain catering supplies, equipment, and facilities.
Follow established safety and sanitation procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
