About The Position

The Catering Attendant delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and ensures events are accurately executed during the shift. The role may involve driving a catering delivery truck. Duties include setting up and serving at events, cleaning the event area during and after functions, breaking down setups, and returning leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner. Associates maintain knowledge of the menu and available products, provide friendly service, and follow safety and sanitation procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.
• Willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures.
• Arrange tables and decorations.
• Set up buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Clean event locations after functions.
• Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
• Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
• Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
• Provide friendly and courteous service to guests.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu and products on hand.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May drive a catering delivery truck.
