About The Position
The Catering Attendant delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and ensures events are executed accurately during the shift. The role may include driving a catering delivery truck. Duties include setting up and serving at events, cleaning and breaking down event areas, and returning leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Previous fine dining restaurant experience is required.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
- Log and maintain food temperatures.
- Arrange tables and decorations.
- Set up buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests.
- Thoroughly clean event locations after functions.
- Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
- Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
- Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
- Provide friendly and courteous service to guests.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu and products on hand.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
