About The Position

The Catering Attendant delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain and helps ensure events are executed accurately. The position may involve driving a catering delivery truck. Duties include assembling and delivering food and supplies, setting up event areas and buffet tables, serving guests, and cleaning and breaking down event setups. The attendant returns leftover food and equipment to the catering facility, maintains catering facilities and equipment, and provides friendly, courteous service while following food safety and sanitation procedures. Willingness to train is noted.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures.
• Arrange tables and decorations.
• Arrange buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Clean the event location thoroughly after functions.
• Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
• Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
• Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
• Provide guests with friendly, courteous service.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May drive a catering delivery truck.
