About The Position
The Cowichan Valley Regional District is seeking casual Skate Patrols for the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena within the Community Services Department. This role involves assisting with the development, planning, and implementation of various activities such as public skates, birthday parties, programs, and special events. The position reports to the Recreation Centre Manager and is supervised by recreation programming staff.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 14 years old.
- A valid Emergency First Aid Certificate or equivalent is required.
Nice To Haves
- Preference given to candidates who are 15 or older.
- A minimum of 2 years of skating experience is preferred.
- Experience with sharpening skates, performing inventory and overseeing a float would be considered assets.
Responsibilities
- Assist with developing, planning, and implementing a wide variety of activities including public skates, birthday parties, programs and special events.
