About The Position

Goodstart is seeking a Casual Educator to support its Glendale centre and other local services as needed. The role suits a flexible, team-oriented professional who can support children and centre teams across varying shifts. The educator helps deliver enriching and responsive learning experiences while maintaining children’s safety and inclusion.

Shifts are available Monday to Friday between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The role offers pay of $36.65 to $39.91 plus casual loading. Candidates must be willing to travel between local services and have flexible weekday availability.

Candidates must hold an ACECQA-approved early childhood qualification and a current Working with Children Check. All candidates must also have or obtain a valid Working with Children Check and complete the National Child Safety Foundation Training via the Geccko platform.

Requirements

• Hold an ACECQA-approved early childhood qualification.
• Hold or obtain a valid Working with Children Check.
• Complete the National Child Safety Foundation Training via the Geccko platform.
• Be willing to travel between other local services.
• Have flexible availability Monday to Friday between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the education program in the room and to the centre team.
• Engage with and supervise children at all times.
• Maintain a safe environment for children, families, and team members.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children and families.
• Comply with the National Quality Standards and Goodstart policies and procedures.
• Support reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement.
