Cast Member-Yuletide
About The Position
Cast Members portray lead characters, townspeople, and ensemble roles for the Yuletide season at Old Tucson. Performers work from scripted shows and may also improvise in character while interacting directly with guests of all ages to help create an immersive experience and production atmosphere. Some roles include singing and choreography; others may involve staged combat or limited stunt work. Cast Members may be assigned multiple roles or serve as understudies for lead characters. This is a seasonal, hourly, non-exempt position. The work takes place in a fast-paced environment and may involve indoor and outdoor settings, varying weather, and evening, weekend, and holiday schedules.
Requirements
- Ability to work long days with prolonged standing.
- Prior acting and/or improvisation experience.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptive in an ever-changing environment.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and late hours as the production schedule may dictate.
- Commitment to working under shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to follow guidance from team leaders.
Nice To Haves
- Prior work in theme park events and non-traditional performance environments.
Responsibilities
- Memorize and perform scripted scenes while portraying various characters.
- Learn staging, music, choreography, and fight choreography.
- Learn and memorize new dialogue in a timely manner.
- Learn and perform songs.
- Become familiar with company guidelines and rules.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, positive, and inclusive working environment and advise management of related concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
