About The Position

As a part-time Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave with a positive impression by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience. You assist customers with questions, payments, and exchanges, and help them get the best value for their money. Most of your time is spent at the register, though you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role is in a fast-paced retail environment and may involve working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and noise conditions. Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be required. The pay range is $16.00–$17.95 per hour; starting pay may vary based on factors including position, location, education, training, and experience.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
• Follow lifting guidelines, including limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
• Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Responsibilities
