About The Position
At Goodwill, store employees help turn donated items into new beginnings by supporting job training, education, and employment programs in the community. The Cashier provides friendly, efficient customer service at the register while helping keep the sales floor, dressing rooms, and work areas stocked, organized, clean, and safe. The role also supports donor services and donation operations, including accepting donations and performing sorting and hanger tasks as needed. Goodwill offers a starting wage of $15 per hour, annual raises, production bonuses, skill-building and training programs, and team member discounts. Medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement benefits are available to full-time employees only.
Requirements
- Positive, dependable team player with strong customer service skills.
- No prior experience is required; willingness to learn and grow is required.
- Able to follow instructions, handle physical tasks, and work in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Honest and respectful, and aligned with Goodwill’s mission and values.
- Open to training and personal development opportunities.
- Able to stand, talk, listen, and use hands for most of the work; often reach, walk, and pull; and occasionally bend and stoop.
- Able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds.
- Strong close and color vision.

Responsibilities
- Ring up sales, handle payments, bag merchandise, and thank customers.
- Keep the sales floor stocked and organized by moving clothing from the backroom, merchandising clothing by type and color, and keeping racks tidy and rotated.
- Maintain a clean and safe shopping environment, including dressing rooms and work areas.
- Greet donors, accept donations, and issue receipts.
- Support donation door operations and perform sorting and hanger tasks as needed.
- Report safety, security, or theft concerns to store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.
