About The Position

As a Lowe's cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping them get the best value. Most of your time is spent at the register, assisting with customer questions, payments, and exchanges. You may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. The position may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates follow lifting guidelines, with single lifts limited to 75 pounds and team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
