About The Position

Mollie Stone’s Markets is hiring a part-time Apprentice Cashier for its Greenbrae location. The role is suited to a customer-service-focused candidate who is flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks. Cashiers process transactions, assist customers, maintain store cleanliness, and support stocking and other store operations. This is a union position with competitive pay.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Be detail-oriented.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to learn new technology.
Willingness to train or work in other areas of the store as needed.
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Local candidates only.
Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
Able to stand up to 8 hours per day, walk up to 6 hours per day, and reach up to 4 hours per day.
May be required to wear COVID-19-related personal protective equipment as mandated by company policy.

Responsibilities

Process sales at the register.
Scan items accurately and efficiently, including correctly identifying produce.
Handle money.
Bag groceries and provide carry-out service when needed.
Retrieve baskets and carts for the store.
Perform cleanup and general housekeeping duties.
Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer questions.
Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to products throughout the store.
Restock inventory, conduct price checks, and return products to their proper shelf locations.
Be willing to train or work in other areas of the store as needed.
