Full Time - Cashier - Day
About The Position
As a Lowe’s cashier, you help customers leave the store with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly, professional checkout service and helping them get value for their money. Most of the work is performed at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves answering customer questions and helping with payments and exchanges in a fast-paced environment. The position does not require regular travel, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, use team lifts when needed, and use powered equipment only with proper training or assistance.
Requirements
- Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Have experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
