Full Time - Cashier - Day
About The Position
As a Lowe’s cashier, you help customers finish their shopping experience with a quick, friendly, and professional checkout. You assist with questions, payments, exchanges, and self-checkout, helping customers get the best value for their money. Most of the work takes place at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves maintaining a clean and safe workstation and completing other assigned duties. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions can include both indoor and outdoor weather, changing climates, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary; single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and powered equipment should be used with proper training or help from a trained coworker.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.
