About The Position

The Cashier works on the second shift at The College of Wooster as part of Creative Dining Services’ dining team. The position is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., three days per week, including every other weekend. The schedule may change during school and summer breaks. Duties include handling payments and operating the register and related devices accurately, as well as helping with cleaning and stocking as needed. Additional details are provided during the interview.

Requirements

• Basic reading and math skills.
• Ability to communicate in and understand the primary language or languages used by guests who typically visit the work location.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate a cash register and process various forms of payment.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all cash-handling procedures.
• Operate the register, other devices, and credit card machine accurately.
• Understand all payment tenders accepted at the unit.
• Assist with cleaning and stocking as needed.
