About The Position

The Food and Beverage Cashier/Snack Bar Associate helps create a first-class guest experience by warmly greeting guests, accurately and efficiently processing transactions in the point-of-sale system, and thanking guests. The role supports Paradies Lagardère’s service standards and core values while maintaining a safe, respectful work environment free of harassment. This position is for afternoon and closing shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Customer-service-focused and solution-oriented.
Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
Ability to work in a high-energy, demanding environment.
Math skills sufficient to calculate costs, make change, and follow cash-handling procedures.
Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and with team members.
Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods and exercise good judgment with customers and peers.
Ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 team-oriented environment.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
Self-motivation, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics in English.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform essential duties involving standing, bending, reaching, climbing a ladder, and walking long distances.
Ability to stand for long periods and work in environments with varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

Provide courteous, friendly, efficient, first-class service to guests, business partners, and team members.
Greet and acknowledge guests, take food and drink orders within 30 seconds, offer recommendations, and confirm orders and modifications before payment.
Accurately total orders, process payments through the POS system, handle cash and cards, and make change in accordance with cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures.
Maintain knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and products.
Ensure guest satisfaction, respond promptly to inquiries and requests, and resolve concerns with a manager’s assistance when needed.
Assist with training new team members by reinforcing successful performance and providing help as needed.
Support other restaurant areas as requested, including seating customers, answering telephones, stocking, cleanup, and documentation.
Participate in food safety programs, clean and sanitize the assigned location, and maintain accurate food safety logs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including removing trash, sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes.
Keep the area stocked and rotate products as needed.
Meet Secret Shopper expectations and ask appropriate SMG-related questions.
Comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including food safety requirements.
Maintain grooming and uniform standards, including wearing slip-resistant shoes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
