About The Position

As a part-time Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave with a positive experience by providing quick, friendly checkout service and helping them get good value. Most of your time is spent at the register, but you may also answer questions, help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves working in a fast-paced retail setting and maintaining a clean, safe workstation. Occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed; regular travel is not required. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor conditions, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty environments, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods depend on the role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Requirements

Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
Have experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Be able to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
