About The Position

As a Lowe’s cashier, you help ensure customers leave the store satisfied by providing a quick, friendly, and professional checkout experience and helping them get the best value. Most of the work takes place at the register, but you may also assist other departments, stock shelves, or move carts as needed. The role involves helping customers with questions, payments, and exchanges in a fast-paced retail environment. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or nearby stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, damp or windy conditions, noise, and moving equipment or objects. Associates must follow lifting guidelines, use powered equipment as required, and have proper training or help from a trained coworker.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state law.
