Full Time - Cashier - Day
About The Position
As a Lowe's cashier, you help customers finish their shopping experience with a quick, friendly checkout and help them get the best value. The role primarily involves working at the register, answering customer questions, and assisting with payments and exchanges. As needed, you may also help other departments, stock shelves, or move carts. The position is based in a fast-paced retail environment and does not require regular travel, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions vary by location and may include indoor and outdoor weather, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, noise, and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Associates must follow lifting guidelines: single lifts are limited to 75 pounds, team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed, and powered equipment should be used when required with proper training or assistance.
Requirements
- Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- Ability to minimally lift 10 pounds unassisted or over 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in the state.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
- Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
- Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
