About The Position

CVS Health is hiring a part-time Retail Store Associate to work in a customer-focused retail setting. The role supports customers and store operations by providing attentive service, performing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor, and helping keep store departments stocked and operational. Associates may also support pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise. The position is scheduled for 21 hours per week, with flexible weekday shifts and every other weekend required. The stated hourly pay range is $15.00–$19.00. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.
• Availability for the required shift schedule, including every other weekend.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
