About The Position

As a Cashier, you will craft quality customer experiences by providing efficient, effective customer service in the checkout lane that creates a positive and lasting impact on Meijer customers. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age. Candidate must be available to work shifts ranging between 6am through 6pm. Be the reason someone leaves with a smile. Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Available to work shifts ranging between 6am through 6pm
Enjoy working with people and providing great service
Comfortable learning and using technology
Good listening skills, clear communication, and organization
Dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to help
Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers
Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression
Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail
Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language
Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care
Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
