About The Position

Woodlands Market is hiring cashiers to accurately and efficiently complete sales transactions at registers. Cashiers are expected to balance their tills and ensure all required slips are present. They build relationships and converse with guests while keeping lines moving, and learn store products quickly so they can provide knowledgeable service. The role is based at the San Francisco store, as indicated by the posting title.

Requirements

• Effective customer service and a service-oriented approach.
• In-depth knowledge of store products, or the ability to learn them quickly.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
• Excellent verbal and customer service skills.
• Ability to process information and merchandise through computer and POS register systems.
• Ability to memorize codes such as produce merchandise numbers.
• Ability to access all areas of the store, including the selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Ability to work varied hours and days as business dictates.
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to perform repeated lifting, bending, twisting, and keypunch entry.
