About The Position

The Cashier interacts with customers as they enter and leave the retail store, with the primary function of providing excellent customer service. The role includes greeting customers, assisting with service questions, answering telephone calls, processing transactions, handling cash and returns, pricing merchandise, and stocking shelves as requested by store management. The schedule is irregular, with varying hours and possible occasional night or weekend coverage.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
• Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Handle cash accurately.
• Price store merchandise as requested by store management.
• Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
• Handle customer returns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
