About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring a full-time, hourly Cashier/Sales Floor Associate in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, at $13.40. The associate handles customer transactions, stocks and presents merchandise, and builds relationships with customers and donors while helping provide a clean and safe store environment. A background check is required.

Requirements

Strength in mathematics.
Strong people and customer service skills.
Ability to identify shades and tones of color and visually inspect clothing.
Background check required.

Nice To Haves

Computer experience.
Prior retail experience.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Ensure 100% donor and customer satisfaction.
Itemize purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash, make change, and implement agency programs such as Round Up and Loyalty.
Use POS software to enter starting and ending cash amounts and maintain accurate customer records.
Handle customer disputes, make exchanges according to policy, and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
Assist with stock rotation and merchandising racks, shelves, and other displays.
Assist store team leadership with training new personnel.
Help maintain store cleanliness by cleaning shelves, dusting, vacuuming floors, and cleaning windows and mirrors.
Assist with floor running, apparel rotation, and cleaning dressing rooms as needed.
Follow agency safety policies and guidelines and work with supervisors and team members to address safety concerns.

Perform other duties as assigned.
