About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate welcomes customers, operates the register, supports sales, and helps keep the store clean, safe, and well stocked. The role includes cleaning restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, entryways, and outdoor areas; removing trash in all weather; and stocking shelves, coolers, and displays. Associates may cross-train in other departments, including the deli, and help wherever needed. The position requires working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and spending most of the shift on one's feet. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Able to work on one's feet for most of a shift and indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Able to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
Friendly demeanor, attention to detail, reliability, responsibility, and adaptability.

Previous retail or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and operate the register accurately and quickly.
Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age-verification and legal requirements.
Provide friendly service and upsell when possible.
Clean and maintain the safety of indoor and outdoor store areas, including restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, entryways, and the parking lot.
Take trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Support teammates and step in where needed.
