About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate supports the store by serving customers, operating the register, maintaining merchandise, and keeping the inside and outside of the store clean, safe, and inviting. The role includes cleaning restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, entryways, and lot areas; taking out trash in all weather; stocking shelves, coolers, and displays; and cross-training in other departments, including deli, as needed. Associates are expected to follow safety procedures and company policies and assist wherever needed. The position requires a friendly, reliable, detail-oriented team member who can work indoors and outdoors in all weather and remain on their feet for most of a shift. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Prior retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Must have basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication skills.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while complying with age-verification and legal requirements.
Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
Keep the store interior and exterior clean and safe, including deep-cleaning restrooms and sanitizing gas pumps.
Pick up litter and trash from floors and the lot, and take trash to the dumpster in all weather.
