About The Position

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the day-to-day operation of a high-energy convenience store. The role combines customer service, register operation, team leadership, inventory and merchandising, store cleanliness, scheduling, cash handling, and oversight of store financials. The Assistant Manager acts as the manager when the Store Manager is unavailable and helps build a high-performing team focused on customer service and store success. Open availability is required, including weekends and holidays, with work primarily on second or third shifts. The position requires a valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance for completing bank deposits. Candidates must be at least 21, proficient in English, able to perform basic math, willing to learn, and have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Certification. Physical tasks include cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, and maintaining outside areas such as fuel pumps. Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
Operate the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service and store success.
Act as manager when the Store Manager is off.
Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep the store stocked.
Maintain a clean, welcoming store, including restrooms, trash areas, and fuel pumps.
Create and manage team schedules to ensure full coverage.
Perform daily cash handling and deposits, and oversee store financials.
Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
