About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate helps keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and running smoothly while providing friendly customer service. The role includes operating the register, selling lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products in compliance with age-verification and legal requirements, and offering products to increase sales. Associates clean and maintain both indoor and outdoor areas, including restrooms, gas pumps, floors, parking areas, windows, and entryways; take trash to the dumpster in all weather; and stock shelves, coolers, and displays. Team members may be cross-trained in other departments, including deli, and are expected to follow safety procedures, company policies, and assist wherever needed. The position requires working weekends and holidays, spending most of the shift on one’s feet, and working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be prepared to spend most of the shift on one’s feet and work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
Friendly, positive demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
Attention to detail.
Punctual, trustworthy, reliable, and responsible.
Adaptability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
