About The Position

As a Cashier, you will craft quality customer experiences by providing efficient and effective customer service in the checkout lane, creating a positive and lasting impact on Meijer customers. The posting offers part-time positions of 16–30 hours per week, with 5–7.5-hour shifts, and full-time opportunities of 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts. The core time range is 2 p.m. to midnight. Full weekend availability and the ability to work until midnight are required.

Requirements

Be 18 years of age or older.
Have strong listening and communication skills, both face-to-face and virtually.
Be willing to learn or already familiar with job-specific technology.
Have problem-solving skills and be willing to troubleshoot when necessary.
Desire to work with customers.
Have good verbal communication skills.
Be detail-oriented and organized.
Have a friendly, outgoing attitude.
Be able to operate a cashier register system.
Have full weekend availability.
Be able to work until midnight.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer experience is preferred but not required.
