Cashier and Retail Sales Associate
About The Position
Iowa 80 Truckstop is hiring a full-time associate for its Clothing Department. The role maintains a professional, sincere, and enthusiastic attitude while supporting the store’s customer-service mission. Associates greet and assist customers, maintain and replenish merchandise, process register transactions, and follow store safety, security, and administrative procedures. This is an on-site position with a stable 40-hour schedule from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; weekend availability is required. Overtime is available. Pay is $15 per hour base, with an additional $2 per hour in weekend premium pay, for earnings of up to $17 per hour. The employer requires a pre-employment drug test and background check, as well as random drug testing. Iowa 80 is unable to sponsor a visa.

Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers in service areas and on the sales floor to provide a positive customer experience.
- Keep the sales floor neat and tidy by folding, hanging, displaying, and merchandising products.
- Unload pallets; receive, open, and unpack merchandise; and apply security tags within timeline goals.
- Process, stock, and replenish items on the sales floor and in the stock room.
- Assist customers at the register and report and handle required transactions.
- Follow safety, security, and administrative procedures throughout the store.
- Help improve store sales.
- Provide product information and answer customer questions.
