Cashier and Retail Sales Associate
About The Position
The Cashier and Retail Sales Associate works in Iowa 80 Truckstop’s Clothing Department, maintaining a professional attitude and serving customers with sincerity and enthusiasm in support of the store’s mission. The role is customer-facing and fast-paced, with duties spanning the sales floor, stockroom, merchandise processing, and register transactions. This is an on-site, full-time position with a stable 40-hour schedule from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; weekend work is required. Pay is $15 per hour base, plus a $2-per-hour weekend premium, for up to $17 per hour. Overtime is available and the position is overtime eligible.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check; employees are also subject to random drug testing.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers in service areas and on the sales floor to provide a positive customer experience.
- Maintain a neat and tidy sales floor by folding, hanging, displaying, and merchandising merchandise.
- Unload pallets; receive, open, and unpack merchandise; and apply security tags within efficient timeline goals.
- Process, stock, and replenish items on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
- Assist customers at the register and report and handle required transactions.
- Follow safety, security, and administrative procedures throughout the store.
- Help improve store sales.
- Provide product information and answer customer questions.
