About The Position

The Cash Processing Teller performs deposit processing and cash settlement tasks, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations. The role requires inspecting deposit bags, reconciling out-of-balance conditions, identifying suspicious or counterfeit activity, meeting productivity standards, and transferring funds to appropriate vaults. The teller also identifies process improvement opportunities and works independently. This is a part-time position with a stated schedule of 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The schedule may change depending on business needs. Starting pay is $16.90 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong data entry skills and experience.
Detail-oriented, with basic math skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 50 lbs as needed.

Nice To Haves

Cash handling and balancing experience is highly desired.
One to two years of teller experience is preferred.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Verify assigned work and inspect deposit bags for evidence of tampering.
Perform deposit processing, including reconciling out-of-balance conditions.
Maintain compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.
Identify counterfeit items, suspicious activity (SAR), and potential AML red-flag transactions, and immediately report them to a supervisor.
Meet or exceed established deposit processing productivity standards.
Verify cash settlements and transfer funds to appropriate vaults.
Identify and share process improvement opportunities.
Work independently without direct supervision or oversight.
