Cash Processing Teller
About The Position
GardaWorld is hiring a Cash Processing Teller to process cash deposits and settlements as part of its cash management and vault processing services. The role involves checking assigned work and deposit bags, processing deposits, resolving out-of-balance conditions, identifying suspicious or counterfeit activity, and transferring accurate cash settlements to the appropriate vaults. The teller is expected to follow company policies and applicable state and federal regulations, meet productivity standards, identify process improvements, and work independently. The schedule is Monday through Friday, and the hourly pay rate is $17.50. The position is full-time. Physical requirements include standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong data entry skills and experience.
- Detail-oriented, with basic math skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Cash handling and balancing experience is highly desired.
- One to two years of teller experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Verify assigned work and inspect deposit bags for evidence of tampering.
- Perform deposit processing, including reconciling out-of-balance conditions.
- Comply with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Identify counterfeit currency, suspicious activity (SAR), and potential AML red-flag transactions, and immediately report them to a supervisor.
- Meet or exceed established deposit processing productivity standards.
- Verify cash settlements and transfer funds to appropriate vaults.
- Identify and share process improvement opportunities.
- Work independently without direct supervision or oversight.
