About The Position

Rock House is seeking a Caseworker/Home Manager with experience assessing client needs and developing and implementing rehabilitation programming for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The position manages a group home and promotes a consistent, caring, home-like atmosphere through effective communication with residents, families, and staff.

The role assists with planning, monitoring, and documenting services; represents residents in matters involving medical needs and families; oversees facility upkeep; and trains and supervises residential staff, including planning staff schedules. The Caseworker/Home Manager also develops and maintains positive employee relations, addresses complaints, resolves conflicts, and participates in an on-call rotation with other supervisory staff.

Requirements

• Degree in a field of human services.
• 1–2 years of experience in human services.
• Leadership skills.
• Motivation, self-direction, and reliability.
• Good communication skills.
• Computer skills.
• Driving and background checks for potential hires.

Responsibilities

• Assess client needs and develop and implement rehabilitation programming for individuals with IDD.
• Manage a group home and communicate with residents, families, and staff to promote a consistent, caring, home-like atmosphere.
• Assist in planning, monitoring, and documenting services.
• Represent residents when dealing with medical needs and families.
• Supervise facility upkeep.
• Train and supervise residential staff and plan staff schedules.
• Develop and maintain sound employee relations.
• Address complaints and resolve conflicts.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with other supervisory staff.
