About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Case Manager for its inpatient detox and residential facility in Aurora, Colorado. The Case Manager advocates for clients, helps address barriers to treatment, and provides case management from intake through discharge. The role includes monitoring insurance coverage and coordinating services and supports that clients may need during treatment and after discharge.

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers with 21 locations across seven states. Its programs include detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services, and the organization describes its treatment approach as evidence-based and individualized.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Warm, empathetic, and respectful personality.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for clients and address or resolve external barriers to treatment.
• Initiate case management for each client upon intake and address pressing needs.
• Oversee client accounts and ensure insurance remains active throughout treatment.
• Provide ongoing case management throughout the duration of treatment.
• Arrange post-discharge services and resources as needed, such as housing, financial aid, legal aid, and vocational training.
• Facilitate comprehensive discharge planning, including continuing care, housing, and sober support.
