About The Position

The Case Manager will facilitate didactic groups and provide case management services. This role involves conducting educational lectures, maintaining case records according to Harbor Light standards, serving as a Case Manager to treatment clients, and assisting clinical staff with various tasks. The position also requires participation in the review of clinical issues, program policies, and attending clinical staff meetings and team conferences. Continuous learning through educational courses, seminars, workshops, and literature is expected to enhance treatment skills.

Requirements

  • Ability to determine needs and to work with multi-problem individuals
  • Ability to develop rapport, trust and confidence in client relationships
  • Must possess good communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • TB Test and police clearance required
  • Authorization to work within The United States
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Must possess MCBAP credential (CADC, CADC-M, CAADC) or have an approved Development Plan within 2 weeks of hire date
  • Valid Michigan Chauffeur License and approved by The Salvation Army MVR

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in case management preferred
  • Experience with mental health and/or substance abuse populations preferred
  • Experience using electronic medical records systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conducts didactics/educational lectures
  • Maintain case records in accordance with Harbor Light standards
  • Serve as Case Manager to treatment clients
  • Assists clinical staff with various tasks as assigned (i.e. make packets, assist clients with nonclinical issues, etc.)
  • Participates in the review of all clinical issues, activities and program policies and procedures
  • Attends all clinical staff meetings, and team conferences
  • Participates in educational courses, seminars, workshops, current literature and in-service meetings to enhance treatment skills
