Case Manager in Training

About The Position
This role works as a floater in the office, training and supporting several attorneys and case staff on rotation. It prepares the employee for an eventual move to a Case Manager position. The role is on-site, providing the opportunity to work alongside the team and gain direct experience. Pay is $20 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, Insurance Adjuster, or in a support role, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate attention to detail while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Willingness to learn and work with multiple employees within the organization.
- Extensive expertise in computer programs, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
Responsibilities
- Shadow Case Managers.
- Order medical records from providers.
- Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble supporting materials for submission to carriers under the direct supervision of an attorney.
- Investigate the nature and facts of cases.
- Learn to negotiate deductions of outstanding medical balances with providers.
- Prepare documents and correspondence necessary to reach a settlement in each case.
