Case Dock Laborer

About The Position

The Case Dock Laborer supplies empty cases to the plant to maintain or improve efficiency standards. The position works from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Friday. Duties include unloading empty cases from trailers, stacking empty pallets, washing trailers, maintaining a clean work area, and cleaning case washers daily. The laborer also checks and documents case-washer temperature and cleaning-solution concentration according to the Master Sanitation schedule, completes assigned paperwork, and performs other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Be organized and detail oriented.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be able to work weekends and varying shifts, including days, evenings, and nights.
Maintain a valid forklift certification issued by the company.
Be able to stand or walk constantly during the shift.
Be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to constantly pull up to 270 pounds with a pull rod while walking backward.
Be able to frequently lift, reach, climb, pull, stoop, bend, and kneel.
Be able to work outside and be exposed to outdoor weather and temperature conditions.
Maintain constant mental focus and awareness of surroundings.

Responsibilities

Supply empty cases to the plant to maintain or improve efficiency standards.
Remove empty cases from trailers, stack empty pallets, and wash out trailers.
Keep the work area neat and clean throughout the shift.
Clean case washers daily to help ensure cases supplied to the plant are properly cleaned.
Check and document case-washer temperature.
Check and document cleaning-solution concentration at least once per shift according to the Master Sanitation schedule.
Complete all assigned paperwork.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
