Case Dock Laborer 3rd shift
About The Position
Purity Dairies is hiring a Case Dock Laborer for its Nashville facility. The role performs general case-dock duties to ensure empty cases are available to production departments and production schedules are supported. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with Saturdays as needed. The position requires following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), maintaining and cleaning equipment in the assigned area, and communicating effectively with other departments. The work takes place in a wet environment and may involve occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals. Requirements
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend for virtually the entire shift.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary.
- Able to work in a wet environment and occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment and in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to make legible entries for record keeping.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure empty cases are available to production departments to meet production schedules.
- Maintain and clean all equipment in the assigned area.
- Slide case stacks from trucks using a milk hook or pallet jack as appropriate.
- Keep conveyor tracks filled with empty cases to prevent production delays.
- Ensure the empty case area is full at the end of the shift to support the next shift’s production run.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Communicate effectively with all departments.
- Make legible entries for record keeping.
- Work effectively in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
