About The Position

The Case CE Diesel Mechanic performs diesel machinery diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and pre-delivery work on customer equipment, internal units, and warranty repairs. Work may take place in the shop or in the field, and assigned tasks are expected to be completed safely, professionally, and efficiently. The role includes field service, which may involve weekend and after-hours calls, and requires travel to customer and company locations.

Requirements

At least 2 years of related experience, or an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or a related program.
At least 1 year of successfully completing tasks with limited supervision.
Clean driving record.
Must have own tools.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, with occasional overnights, and perform 50% or more of work offsite/in the field.
Ability to work flexible/on-call hours.
Keen attention to detail, high initiative, and ability to work independently.
Exceptional documentation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and recondition machine systems and components according to manufacturer specifications.
Provide professional, timely, and courteous field service as directed by the Service Manager, including potential weekend and after-hours service calls.
Clearly communicate findings, repair needs, and expected timelines with equipment owners, operators, and the service team.
Request, install, and manage parts and supplies required for equipment repairs.
Complete work orders and required service-related documentation accurately and promptly.
Participate in ongoing professional and technical training to maintain product knowledge and service capabilities.
Recommend maintenance, upgrades, or other solutions that add customer value and improve equipment performance.
Follow safety rules, policies, and regulations while performing work assignments.
