Cart Attendant (PT)

About The Position

As an entry-level team member on Meijer’s Courtesy Team, the Cart Attendant supports store services and provides customer service. The role includes retrieving shopping carts from outside and returning them to the store, collecting trash, removing snow safely with snow removal equipment, handling perishable and salvage returns, and performing basic store and restroom cleaning. The attendant works with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, parking lot, and a range of store departments. The job profile is not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
Great listening and communication skills.
Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product or using equipment.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
