Cart Attendant (PT)

About The Position

As an entry-level member of Meijer's Courtesy Team, the Cart Attendant supports retail services, products, and customer service while interacting with customers and providing above-and-beyond service. The role involves returning carts to the store, maintaining parking lot and store cleanliness, removing snow safely, handling perishable and salvage returns, and assisting in several store areas and departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Be highly organized and attentive to detail.
Have strong listening and communication skills.
Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
