Cart Attendant (part-time)

About The Position

This part-time position maintains golf carts for Smyrna Golf Course and performs various upkeep responsibilities on the course. The attendant stages carts for customer use; washes carts, removes trash, and performs simple maintenance; and keeps the cart storage area clean. The position reports to the Director of Golf. The listed duties describe typical work, but other similar or related duties may be required, and management may revise the job.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Drive and stage carts in the cart staging area.
Wash and wipe down carts and remove trash daily, including as carts return after play.
Periodically check carts for appropriate gas levels.
Clean the inside and outside of the clubhouse by vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, washing, shoveling, or other necessary methods.
Pick up trash as needed and empty garbage cans regularly.
Remove trash and perform duties in the locker room.
Remove golf balls from the range as needed, wash range balls, and stock the ball machine.
Keep the cart barn clean and orderly.
Record cart damage or operational problems on the cart-barn board, tag the cart, and report the information to the golf shop.
Ensure all carts are accounted for nightly.
Unlock and lock on-course bathrooms daily.
Lock and secure the cart barn and course gates during closing procedures and set the alarm before leaving.
