About The Position

As an entry-level team member on Meijer’s Courtesy Team, the Cart Attendant supports store services, product handling, and customer service. The role involves interacting with people and providing above-and-beyond customer service. Duties include returning carts to the store, collecting trash, removing snow safely, handling perishable and salvage returns, cleaning, and working across store areas and departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Be highly organized and have a keen sense for details.
Have strong listening and communication skills.
Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product or using equipment.
Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
