About The Position

As an entry-level Meijer Courtesy Team Member, the Cart Attendant supports retail tasks and additional store services while providing above-and-beyond customer service. The role involves retrieving shopping carts, maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the store, assisting with returns, and working with multiple store areas and departments. Team members may also perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with the service desk, store entrance, checkout lanes, and parking lot areas.
• Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
