About The Position

As an entry-level team member on Meijer’s Courtesy Team, the Cart Attendant performs retail support tasks and provides customer service. The role involves retrieving shopping carts, maintaining store and outdoor areas, handling returns, and working with store departments and service areas. Team members may also perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
• Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
